Kim Kardashian Heads To Australia Following Divorce Announcement; Kris Humphries Pulls Out Of Las Vegas

Now that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have gone public with their split, what lies ahead for reality TV’s former royal couple?

An unusually quiet Kim – wearing sunglasses despite the fact it was night – was greeted by a mob of paparazzi as she arrived at LAX on Monday night, the same day she filed for divorce from the NBA star. Kim is headed to Australia with sister Khloe to promote their clothing line.

Kim entered the airport without answering the avalanche of questions from reporters and photographers. Inside the airport, she was spotted not wearing her 20.5 carat diamond engagement ring, estimated to be worth $2 million.

As far as Kris goes, as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a rep for the athlete told Access that Kris will not be hosting or attending the pre-scheduled party at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas this weekend.

Wedding guest and Kardashian family friend Kathie Lee Gifford weighed in with her unique perspective on the couple’s split on Tuesday.

“The only thing I saw [during their wedding weekend] that I thought was unusual – and I thought maybe [it happened] because there’s so much going on… we went to a pre-wedding party at a private home in Santa Barbara the night before [their wedding.]

There were maybe only 50 people there and I never saw them together the entire night,” Kathie Lee said on Tuesday’s fourth hour of the “Today” show, adding that sister Khloe predicted a short marriage at the couple’s reception.

“I would never have said it before, but at the reception afterwards, Khloe – who always says what she thinks – walks by me and, I don’t think Khloe would care if i said it, she goes… ‘I give it six [expletive] months, ‘” Kathie Lee recalled.

Kim’s stepdad, Bruce Jenner, also weighed in on the couple’s split, telling paparazzi on Monday, “All I know is Kim’s doing great… Kim’s doing great, I know.”

Despite some reports claiming the split could be a publicity stunt by the couple, marriage counselor Stacy Kaiser – who appeared on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live — does not buy into that idea.

“I don’t really believe that’s the case,” she said. “First of all, there has been way too much emotion behind what’s been going on between them. There’s been so much anger and sadness and resentment and it’s my belief that you just can’t fake that.”
