Kim Kardashian Requests Twitter Edit Feature, Gets Response: ‘Great Idea!’

Looks like Kim Kardashian hates typos just as much as we do.

The reality star spoke up for perfectionists everywhere on Friday, when she suggested Twitter add an edit function to its template.

“I just emailed Twitter to see if they can add an edit feature so that when u misspell something u don’t have to delete and repost Let’s see…” the expectant mom wrote.

Twitter is the only digital platform of its kind that doesn’t allow users to alter a post after publication, a deficiency that’s been noted for years. However, unlike those who may have grumbled in relative silence, Kim voicing her concern to nearly 34 million followers could be the nudge Twitter needed.

“Great idea!” co-founder Jack Dorsey replied. “We’re always looking at ways to make things faster and easier.”

Kim’s proposal might have been inspired by her recent social media faux pas, including a now-deleted post from July 21 in which she accidentally inserted herself into Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift’s online scuttle. The selfie queen posted a photo of herself holding up a finger while on the phone, captioning, “Imma let you finish but…” which many users took as a reference to the 2009 VMAs where husband Kanye West notoriously crashed Taylor’s Best Female Video acceptance speech.

“Wait wait I’m in Paris it’s the middle of the night & I’m posting my Vogue Spain pics not having a clue what’s going on in the music world,” Kim clarified. “I’m not trying to shade anyone! That’s not my style!”

Taylor herself may have also wished for an edit button when she took Nicki’s initial Tweet complaining about videos with “very slim bodies” personally, kicking off the infamous dialogue that later included Katy Perry.

Until Twitter follows through on Kim’s request, though, Taylor and the rest of us will just have to settle for making good, old-fashioned apologies.
