Kim Kardashian’s Beauty Drinks!

HEALTHY HOLLYWOOD

Say what you want about Kim Kardashian and there is a lot, but you’ve got to admit TV’s reality queen has gorgeous skin.

One of the first things Healthy Hollywood notices about someone is their complexion. A glowing complexion simply radiates good, clean living!

Ms. Kardashian, along with Drew Barrymore and Lady Gaga, are all fans of nutrient-rich beauty drinks to improve the health of their skin, hair and nails.

“On top of high quality foods a growing body of evidence is proving certain nutrients can further support the health of your skin, including fatty acids (Omega 3, 7, 9) antioxidant carotenoids (lycopene, lutein, astaxanthin, zeazanthin), antioxidant polyphenols (flavonoids, flavonols, catechins, anthocyanidins), prebiotics and probiotics for example,” explains beauty nutritionist and nutricosmetics formulator Paula Simpson to Healthy Hollywood.

Paula tells me she advises her clients to eat a Mediterranean style diet and also look for oral based health products containing targeted nutrients.

“To compliment diet, nutricosmetics can deliver skin nutrition focused formulas to help protect, renew skin cells and potentially delay accelerated skin aging. Overtime, this combined approach can bring out the best in the health and vitality of your skin,” adds Paula.

And, if you want to drink to your beauty, Simpson suggests going green. “Greens or ‘cleansing’ foods supercharge the body and support the eliminative organs such as the digestive system to support optimal nutrient absorption and remove byproducts or toxins before they can be absorbed into the bloodstream (and get to the skin). Spinach, kale, dandelion greens or concentrated greens, such as wheatgrass, barley grass, spirulina are great to add to smoothies for a detox beauty boost.”

Just, like we’ve always heard, we are what we eat, inside and out!
