Kirstie Alley Addresses Weight Issue On Twitter

Kirstie Alley may have to find a new name for her A&E reality show, “Kirstie Alley’s Big Life.”

The 59-year-old former “Cheers” star, who has publicly struggled with her weight, announced she is more than halfway to her weight loss goal.

“I’ve lost over 50 lbs…and I’m having the time of my of my life…30 more to gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,” she Tweeted on Wednesday.

Kirstie, who vacationed in Italy last week, later added a picture of herself looking svelte while surrounded by five men sporting suits, writing, “Me and my Italian men friends.”

The Emmy Award-winning actress, who revealed her slender bikini body on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2006 (after she reportedly lost 75 lbs. with the help of the Jenny Craig diet program), soon gained all of the weight back, tipping the scales at 230 lbs. In 2005, she played a version of herself in the Showtime series “Fat Actress,” which lasted a single season.

The gain prompted Kirstie to launch her own line of dieting products earlier this year, as well as a reality show that follows the efforts of the always-outspoken actress as she attempts to shed the pounds again.

Kristie seems pleased with her recent weight loss win – on Sunday, the star confidently Tweeted, “Back from Italy…found the love of my life….turned out it was me…..”
