Kristen Bell: Dax Shepard Is ‘The Best’ Father; Motherhood Is ‘Better’ Than A Sloth

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed baby girl Lincoln in March and the new mom says Dax is a better father to their daughter than she ever could have hoped for.

”[He is] the best,” the actress told Ellen DeGeneres, during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which will air on Monday. “It’s like he’s made a new best friend!”

Adding, “He talks to her all day and sings to her all day – it’s wonderful.”

The 32–year-old star said she’s been pleasantly surprised by the joys of motherhood as well.

“It’s actually better than I expected – it’s pretty wonderful,” she said. “It’s a lot of fun.”

Ellen cut straight to Kristen’s weakness (remember THIS amazing video?!?), asking, “Is [being a mom] better than [having] a sloth?”

“Is [Lincoln] watching? Is she here?” Kristen joked, looking around before answering, “I’m sure it’s better than a sloth.”

As for their baby’s unique moniker, the former “Veronica Mars” star said, “It’s always been Dax’s favorite name, and he’s substantially bigger than I am, so I lost.”
