Kristen Stewart Goes Glam; Shares Emotions From Final ‘Breaking Dawn’ Shoot

Kristen Stewart graces the cover of W’s September issue looking absolutely stunning, with smoky eyes and bouffant coiffure — a departure from her typical minimalist look – and the 21-year-old actress says her tomboyish nature stems from being raised with male siblings.

“I have brothers, and that so-called boyish quality was something that I was deathly self-conscious about when I was younger,” Kristen told the mag. “I was, like, ‘No, I’m a girl.’ Actually, I’m still embarrassed to say that.”

While her younger years may have been a bit awkward, Kristen’s unique qualities gave her a leg up on the competition when it came to nabbing the lead role in “The Twilight Saga.”

“I was 17 when I read ‘Twilight,’ and at the time it was so perfect for me,” she said. “The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t. And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that.

“Vampires are a little dangerous — and we girls like to test ourselves,” she added.

As her days as Bella came to an end (the cast wrapped production on the series’ final movie, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” in April), Kristen said she’d been “anticipating” the end of the iconic role.

“We needed to film one more sort of honeymoon scene and we went to the Virgin Islands,” she said of her last ever shoot as “Twilight’s” leading lady. “After that scene, my true final scene, I felt like I could shoot up into the night sky and every pore of my body would shoot light. I felt lighter than I’ve ever felt in my life.”
