Kristen Stewart debuted a new look on Monday and Access Hollywood found out the reason behind her lovely strawberry blonde locks.
“It’s for a part,” Kristen told Access at “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” New York premiere. “I play Marylou Moriarty in ‘On The Road.’ She has like long blonde ringlets.”
Before the 20-year-old actress hit the bottle at the salon, Kristen decided she wasn’t up for a drastic color change.
“I didn’t want to go straight blonde, so I wanted to keep it natural looking,” She told Access. “I kept some of the brown in there.”
Kristen is co-starring with Kirsten Dunst and Brit Sam Riley in the big screen adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel, slated to hit theaters in 2011. First up, Kristen will be seen in “Eclipse,” which opens in theaters on Wednesday.
