Kristen Wiig Returns To Saturday Night Live

Kristen Wiig returned to the “Saturday Night Live” stage as host this weekend, her first time back since her exit last year.

The actress was joined by fellow “SNL” alum and “Bridesmaids” co-star Maya Rudolph for her opening monologue (which included a performance of the classic Pointer Sisters hit, “I’m So Excited”), and Jonah Hill also made a cameo.

One of the funnier bits of the night was a timely Mother’s Day commercial for 1-800 Flowers.

In the sketch ad, Kristen plays a loving daughter who gives flowers to her mom (Kate McKinnon) for Mother’s Day, only to be irritated by her mother’s nagging.

“Oh honey, I love these. Thank you,” her mom said after receiving the bouquet. “But… maybe you should keep them because your apartment is so sad.”
“Last week your father and I watched a porno,” her mom shares in a montage, before startling a sleeping Kristen by yelling, “I can’t find my debit card – I think my identity has been thieved!”

Kristen also brought back a few of her most beloved characters from her seven-year run as a castmember, including tiny-handed Dooneese, Kat (of Garth and Kat – with Fred Armisen), and Target Lady.
