Lady Gaga made her second baseball game appearance in as many weeks on Thursday – and reportedly caused another incident.
The pop star hit Yankee Stadium on Friday for a New York Yankees-Mets game, clad in the team’s signature pinstripes – as well as sunglasses, underwear and a visible bra.
“I just kicked my a** in the gym, time to wash it down with an ice cold NY beer,” she Tweeted the morning of the game.
Unlike her previous baseball outing, a Mets game at Citi Field earlier this month where she showed off a middle finger to photographers, Gaga kept her digits to herself. The gesture was a breach of the Mets’ code of conduct.
However, according to the New York Post, things got rowdier after Friday’s game when the singer approached the Yankees clubhouse.
The paper reported that Gaga “kept groping her chest over her [Yankees] jersey” and met players including Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano during a 30-minute unplanned visit.
According to the Post, the team’s management was unhappy with the scene, and a source told the paper that Gaga has been “permanently banned” from the clubhouse.
But Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman denied the report to ESPN.com on Sunday, telling the site, “She’s not banned.”
“Celebrities aren’t banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access [to the clubhouse], but not after a loss.”
The Yankees lost the Subway Series match-up 4-0 on Friday, after which Gaga reportedly ventured to the clubhouse.
“There is just a time and place,” Cashman told ESPN. “It is not her fault.”
Cano added to ESPN that Gaga had met only him – not A-Rod.
“She can sing, I’ll tell you that,” the slugger said.
A Yankees rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Access Hollywood.
