Lance Bass’ Advice For Justin Bieber: ‘Surround Yourself With Good People’

Like Justin Bieber, Lance Bass knows what it’s like to be in the public eye at a young age.

Access Hollywood caught up with the former *NSYNC-er on Thursday, where he offered his advice to the seemingly troubled 19-year-old.

“It’s the advice I give every teen star: surround yourself with good people,” Lance – whose new solo single, “Walking On Air,” is out now – told Access’ Liz Hernandez at the Delta Air Lines 2014 Grammy weekend reception when asked if he has any advice for Justin. “I was lucky enough to be in a band with four of my best friends, so if I did anything crazy, they would slap me down.

“And we had a great family around us too,” he added.

Lance said he thinks the “As Long As You Love Me” singer is hanging out with the wrong crowd.

“What I’m seeing with The Biebs is he’s surrounding himself with the wild boys. They just wanna be crazy and wanna be cool with the guys and that’s kinda brought him down to where he is now,” he said. “So surround yourself with good people – they’ll keep you in check.”
