This night of unpredictable and unique theater will take place on Sunday, February 20 at the Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, in support of The Baby Dragon Fund and The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. Tickets recently went on sale at www.24hourhollywoodrush.org.

Dozens of Hollywood’s most talented writers, directors and actors will come together to participate in the unique evening. The uniqueness of its format, the unpredictability of the performances and the incredibly tight turn-around of content will all contribute to the evening’s excitement. The writing of the plays for “24 Hour Hollywood Rush” will commence the night before the show on Saturday evening February 19 at an undisclosed location.

A group of writers that include Silvio Horta (“Ugly Betty”, “Urban Legends”), Chris Landon (“Disturbia,” “Paranormal Activity 2”), David Holstein (“Weeds”) and Eddie Kaye Thomas (“American Pie” films) will have 12 hours to produce six 10-minute plays. At 8 AM the morning of the event, the scripts will be handed out to an assembly of directors which include Michael Sucsy (HBO’s “Grey Gardens”), Matthew Lillard (“SLC Punk!,” “Scream”), Kristin Hanggi (Broadway’s “Rock Of Ages”), Dan Harris (“Superman Returns,” X2”), Richie Keen (“Traffic,” “Important Things With Demetri Martin”) and all the actors who will begin rehearsals immediately. After just 12 hours of rehearsals, the curtains will rise on plays that didn’t exist the day before.

Yeardley Smith previously shared the following quote exclusively with Access Hollywood, “Given the fact that I’ve been extremely fortunate in my career and enjoyed a great deal of success, I consider it one my responsibilities in life to pay it forward. If that means I can help bring attention to worthy causes such as the Baby Dragon Fund, I’m delighted to do so. The icing on the cake is that Zibby Allen is also one of my dearest friends — and what’s better than helping a friend?!”

Ticket prices start at $30 for general admission. VIP tickets are also available, which include access to the VIP after-party featuring the all-star cast and crew, at the historic Ebell Club of Los Angeles following the performance. The evening will include a sponsored bar and non-alcoholic beverages provided by Neuro Drinks. For those unable to attend the event but interesting in supporting the project and organization, sponsored tickets are available, which will be utilized by members of the Los Angeles community in recovery, affected by addiction-related issues, and youth and seniors involved with the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. Regular and VIP ticketing, sponsored tickets, and donations to The Baby Dragon Fund are available at www.24hourhollywoodrush.org.

The event is being executive produced by Jason H. Kennedy (WonderFalls Entertainment) and Zibby Allen (”$#*! My Dad Says,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), both of whom have an intimate association with the performing arts, as well as The Baby Dragon Fund, which was founded in memory of Zibby’s brother Hunter. Kennedy and Allen are also the co-founders of “24 Hour Hollywood Rush.” Producers Kate Payne and Brett Ruttenberg, along with Associate Producer Micah Pittard, round out the team behind the event.

This first annual show features a host committee that includes West Hollywood Mayor Hon. John J. Duran, Chad Allen, Jonathan Aubry, Dustin Lance Black, Carlos Carreras, Jeff Consoletti, Marina D’Amico, Craig Dougherty, Kyan Douglas, Jeremy Glazer, Anthony Glomski, Jill Goldstein, Chad Griffin, Rachel Griffin, Carlos Carreras, Kristin Hanggi, Sara Isaacson, Frank Meli, Chris Landon, Beth Lapides, Tony Leonhardt, Scott Mitchell, Andrew Oldershaw, Brett Ruttenberg, Nikki Weiss, John Wolf, Damon Wolf, Fay Wolf and Ryan Young.
