Lauren Conrad ‘Super Not Comfortable’ With Acting In Her ‘L.A. Candy’ Movie

Will Lauren Conrad play a version of herself in the film version of her debut novel, “L.A. Candy?”

Not if she can help it, the star told People.

“I think my acting is offensive!” the star told the mag at a launch event for her clothing line at Kohls. “I’m an awful actor, I’m not super comfortable with it.”

LC’s previous acting experiences include roles in “Epic Movie” (where she played herself) and an episode of The CW’s “Privileged” (it’s arguable whether or not her five seasons on MTV’s “The Hills” could be considered “acting”).

However, Lauren hinted that she may be working on her acting game – and didn’t outright deny taking on the role of Jane Roberts.

“In fact, I was just trying to do lines… and they’ll tell you, I cannot memorize lines,” she said.

Although she may not have faith in her own abilities, in a poll on AccessHollywood.com, AH Nation voters overwhelmingly chose Lauren to play Jane, with the former reality star earning 47% of the vote. Lindsay Lohan, at 34%, came in second.

Either way, Lauren said she’d be very involved in developing the recently announced film.

“If you’re putting your name on something, it’s really important to be a part of it, or else people will just do whatever they want with it, and then it’s not really you,” she told People. “And it won’t be true. I’m planning on being a part of it from start to finish.”
