LeAnn Rimes On The Tabloids: ‘I Try Not To Let That Bother Me’

LeAnn Rimes isn’t letting a little tabloid coverage of her love life affect her.

“That’s what they do,” she told Access Hollywood at the Yahoo! Yodel Studio in New York City on Tuesday. “But I’m good.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the singer announced in September that she and husband Dean Sheremet were divorcing. Recently, she has been spotted with her former Lifetime “Northern Lights” co-star Eddie Cibrian, with whom she was rumored to have engaged in an affair with earlier this year – an affair she and Cibrian both denied.

But despite the coverage, Rimes said she is doing well.

“I’m really happy and I try not to let that bother me,” she said. “I don’t read it.”

While she hasn’t spoken openly about her divorce or rumored romance with Cibrian, Rimes told People at the Yahoo! Yodel event earlier today that her next album will be personal.

“Most of the stuff I’ve written [myself], so it’s definitely my life,” she told the mag, noting that the tracks are cut “down the middle between heartbreak and love.”

Rimes hopes to hit the studio in November to finish the album, but she revealed writing for the release has been a good thing.

“Part of my therapy is to write,” she said. “I write with a lot of my best friends, so most of [our meetings] are therapy sessions that turn into songs.”
