LeAnn Rimes Standing Strong Against Her Struggles: ‘I’m Not Going To Cry’

LeAnn Rimes touched upon her recent 30-day treatment for stress and anxiety in a new interview.

When asked about her treatment, by talk showhost Katie Couric for Thursday’s “Katie,” LeAnn said she was standing strong.

“People look at you and go ‘why are you struggling?’ You know it’s… no one can quite understand why you hurt so badly,” she said. “But I’m not going to cry.”

She also addressed her relationship with now-husband Eddie Cibrian. The two were both married to other people when they first got together, and it prompted criticism, something LeAnn said has influenced her life and her work.

“I made my choices, you know? I made my choices and I’m living with them,” she told Katie. “And I also have learned from them and I’ve talked about this so much. But I know that… I’m not the only person that goes through this. There’s so many that do. And there’s so much on the new album that I do share.”

LeAnn tackles the critics in her new song “Spitfire,” but she said she remains perplexed over how some people feel they have the freedom to be mean to others.

“I’m not sure why people are so harsh at this moment in time. And it’s not everyone. I’m not going to say everyone, because I have a lot of wonderful fans and people who support me,” she said.
