Leonardo DiCaprio Credits Mom For His Success

Leonardo DiCaprio won his second Golden Globe on Sunday night for “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and the actor credits his mom for his success.

“I wouldn’t be doing any of this if it weren’t for her, both my parents,” the actor told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover backstage after his big win.

“She supported this little kid who said, ‘I want to be an actor,’ at 12 years old, which is ridiculous, and she drove me to all these auditions,” he said of his mom, Irmelin. “She’s the only reason I’m able to do what I do.”

When asked what his mom thought about his love life, which often includes dating a supermodel, the 39-year-old actor said she’s not concerned with who he’s with.

“It’s irrelevant to her what I do,” he said when asked if his wants want him to settle down and get married.

As for host Tina Fey’s joke about the actor, “And now, like a supermodel’s vagina, let’s all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio,” the actor liked it.

“That was pretty cool. Any joke from them is OK in my book,” he added.
