Leslie Mann & Lacoste Launch Pink Croc Collection For Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Buy a croc. Give a croc. LACOSTE, known worldwide for its crocodile embroidered apparel, has partnered again with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to find the cure for breast cancer. On October 5, funny gal Leslie Mann (“Funny People,” “Knocked Up”) joins them to host the 2nd annual LACOSTE Pinc Croc Collection launch event at the LACOSTE boutique in Beverly Hills. That night, 100% of proceeds from the beach themed pink collection will benefit the BCRF. An additional 10% of proceeds during the entire month of October will be donated.

The LACOSTE Pink Croc collection includes men’s and women’s washed oversized croc polos, striped canvas beach bag, crocodile belt with patent leather detailing, water resistant sporty watch, timeless style sunglasses, contrast stitched flip-flops, striped beach towel and LACOSTE’s Love of Pink fragrance.

The collection will be available at LACOSTE boutiques and lacoste.com beginning October 1, 2009. LACOSTE is dedicated to increasing breast cancer awareness and raising funds for research in its cause, prevention and cure through feel-good shopping.

About The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®:
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. The Foundation supports scientists at top universities and academic medical centers worldwide conducting the most
advanced and promising breast cancer research that will lead to prevention and a cure in our lifetime. A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. In October 2008, $34.5 million was awarded to 166 scientists across the United States and in Australia, Canada, Latin America, the Middle East, and throughout Europe. And for the eighth consecutive year, BCRF received Charity Navigator’s highest rating, four stars, thus outperforming over 99% of the evaluated charities, while the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded BCRF its highest possible rating of A+. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization in the U.S. to receive these accolades. For more information, visit www.bcrfcure.org

About LACOSTE:
The LACOSTE legend began in 1927 with René Lacoste, a tennis superstar of the 1920’s and multiple grand slam and Davis Cup winner, when he revolutionized men’s sportswear, replacing the long-sleeved, starched classic tennis shirts, with what has now become the classic LACOSTE polo. Over 75 years later, his legacy is the World ” of LACOSTE,” with 1045 boutiques operating around the world and 84 boutiques and outlets in the US. From his iconic polo shirt, Lacoste has developed a global range of lifestyle products for men and women. In May 2001, Christophe Lemaire was named creative director of LACOSTE. He designs clothing with the same quality, comfort and relaxed elegance on which the brand name was built and which constitutes its uniqueness. www.lacoste.com
