Liam Neeson In Talks To Join ‘The A-Team’

Liam Neeson is reportedly in talks to join the big screen version of beloved 1980s television series, “The A-Team.”

According to Variety, Neeson is up for the role of Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith. Smith was played George Peppard in TV series.

“The Hangover” star Bradley Cooper is also in talks to join the movie as Lieutenant Templeton “Faceman” Peck.

Joe Carnahan, who previously directed “Smokin’ Aces” and “Pride & Glory,” is directing the film, which Variety reports will be released on June 11, 2010.

Production on the new “A-Team” is set to kick off this August.

Ridley Scott, Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell, who created the show, will produce the movie.

Neeson was last seen on the big screen in the thriller, “Taken.”
