Lifetime Picks Their Prince William For TV Movie: Who Is He?

Though the royal wedding between Britain’s Prince William and Kate Middleton is still months away, plans to immortalize the fairytale love story on the small screen are already in the works.

Lifetime announced plans for “William & Kate” on Thursday, a TV movie based on the royal couple, which will chronicle the pair’s romance – from their initial meeting at college to their highly anticipated royal wedding ceremony.

The 28-year-old Prince will be played by Kiwi actor Nico Evers-Swindell (of “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Law & Order” fame), while Prince Charles will be played veteran “Star Trek” actor Ben Cross.

While the winner of Kate Middleton’s role has yet to be announced, a recent AH Nation poll found that Katie Holmes and “Underworld” star Kate Beckinsale are tied –each with 27% of the votes — for The Nation’s top choice for who they’d like to see portray the commoner-turned-royal.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Kate may not be a royal yet, but she recently made her latest step toward officially becoming a member of the royal family by quitting her day job.

According to Britain’s Hello magazine, Kate quit her job as a project manager for her parents’ mail-order party supply company, Party Pieces.

Kate reportedly left her gig at the company in order to continue planning her wedding to Britain’s Prince William, which will happen in just three months at London’s Westminster Abbey.
