Lindsay Lohan Being Taken To Small Claims Court

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 31, 2007) – When it rains, it pours.

Lindsay Lohan is being sued by a woman who claims the embattled actress and her bodyguard hit her car, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to court papers obtained by Access, Signe Dupuy is taking Lindsay and her bodyguard Jaz to small claims court over a car accident on April 26, 2007.

In papers filed on July 30, Dupuy is suing for $7,500 for “damage, injury and pain and suffering.”

Lindsay and Jaz have been ordered to report to court on September 11 in Los Angeles.

Following her latest DUI arrest, three men involved in her late night wild ride threatened to sue Lindsay on several counts, including conversion, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In addition, Lindsay was sued in June for a 2005 Beverly Hills car crash by Raymundo Ortega, who claimed Lindsay was under the influence of alcohol when she crashed into his van. The lawsuit, which seeks at least $200,000 in damages, also named The Ivy restaurant as a defendant, claiming its staff gave Lohan alcoholic drinks even though she was under the legal drinking age.

In response to Ortega’s claims, Lindsay filed her own paperwork asserting she was not “intoxicated” at the time of the incident, labeling his claims as “nothing more than an attempt to extort money from a celebrity by making false and scurrilous allegations in a complaint.”

Lindsay pointed to the police report taken at the scene, which concluded that “Ms. Lohan had not been drinking and there was no signs of intoxication at the time of the incident.”
