Lindsay Lohan Late To First Day Of Community Service At Morgue; Rep Says Actress Will Return Tomorrow

Lindsay Lohan’s first day at the Los Angeles County Morgue got off to a shaky start.

Craig Harvey, Chief of Operations at Los Angeles County Morgue, told Access Hollywood that the actress was scheduled to arrive at 8 AM on Thursday, but she did not show up until 8:40 AM.

Harvey noted that the actress called at 7:40 AM saying she was 10 minutes away. However, she did not arrive for another hour.

After arriving, the 25-year-old actress was told she was too late to take part in the required orientation, but that she was welcome to return tomorrow to start her court ordered community service.

The actress’ rep told Access Hollywood her tardiness was due a mix up on which entrance to use and photographers waiting to snap a photo of the headline-maker.

“Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow. Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival,” the rep said. “Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up.”

During her time at the morgue, Lohan will be assigned to do a variety of tasks including mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms and doing laundry.

Later on Thursday morning, Lohan posted a message on her WhoSay page, writing, “With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I’ve never been so happy to go to therapy!!!! Also, I’m sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner’s office. Won’t happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the actress appeared in court on Wednesday, where Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked her probation for not continuing to do her community service hours at the Downtown Women’s Center in LA. Lohan was led away from the courtroom in handcuffs, posed for her fifth booking photo and then posted bail and was released.

Lohan is due back in court next month.
