Lindsay Lohan Reportedly ‘Upset’ & ‘Angry’ & Over Latest Jail Sentence

Following Lindsay Lohan’s roller coaster ride on Friday, which included an appearance in court for her felony grand theft case, a judge sentencing her to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service and then leaving jail hours later after posting bail, the actress is reportedly “upset” and “angry.”

“She is fine,” producer Nathan Folks and friend of Lohan told People. “Obviously, she is upset about [being sentenced to four months in jail].”

On Friday, a source close to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department told Access Hollywood the actress posted $75,000 bail and was released from custody under the terms of a “work release” program after being held at the Inmate Reception center in downtown Los Angeles for almost five hours. The actress was arrested after Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled she had violated her probation in her felony grand theft case, in which a Los Angeles-area jewelry store, Kamofie & Co., claimed the actress stole a necklace worth $2,500.

“She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around,” Folks continued. “She didn’t do what they said she did. She didn’t steal that necklace.

“She is ready to do her time. She wants to go to A.A. and N.A. and to serve her [more than] 400 hours [of community service],” Folks added. “She has already been doing lots of charity work.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 24-year-old is expected to report to a women’s shelter in downtown Los Angeles on Monday to begin serving her community service.

Lohan’s pre-trial hearing will be May 11 and her trial was set for June 3. Lindsay was ordered by the judge to personally appear for both occasions. She also must report on July 21 for an update on her probation violation.
