Lindsay Lohan Returning To Court For Necklace Theft Case, Not Expected To Accept Plea Deal

Lindsay Lohan returns to court Thursday for a grand theft case and is not expected to accept a plea deal that includes a guaranteed jail sentence.

The “Mean Girls” star has pleaded not guilty to stealing a necklace from a jewelry store near her Venice home in January.

A source close to the actress tells The Associated Press that she does not intend to accept the plea deal during Thursday’s hearing. A judge will lay out the course of the case, which could include scheduling a preliminary hearing during which prosecutors will present evidence in the case.

The case is the latest legal headache for the 24-year-old actress, who was on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case the theft case was filed.
