Lindsay Lohan Spends Less Than 5 Hours In Jail

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but the actress didn’t even spend five hours in custody.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Tony Moore confirmed to Access Hollywood that the 25-year-old actress checked in at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynnwood, Calif., at 8:48 PM on Sunday and was booked at 8:50 PM. Lohan was then released at approximately 1:30 AM early Monday morning.

Deputy Moore did not have further details about Lohan’s booking, but numerous reports cite overcrowding for the reason behind her brief stint in jail.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner – who ruled that the actress was in violation of probation and sent her back to jail last week – ordered that Lohan return to court by December 14. She is required to have performed 12 days more of community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue and attend four psychotherapy sessions.

Judge Sautner said that after her 30 days in jail (which turned out to be less than five hours), if Lohan continues to perform community service and attend therapy sessions through a March 29 court appearance, the remainder of her 270 days in jail will be permanently stayed.

If Lohan slips up and does not comply with the Judge’s orders and the new terms of her probation, she could face an additional 270-day jail sentence.
