Lindsay Lohan To Be Charged With Felony Grand Theft Over Alleged Stolen Necklace

Lindsay Lohan will be charged on Wednesday with felony grand theft, a rep for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Lohan will face the charge for allegedly stealing a necklace worth $2,500 from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store.

The DA’s office announced the actress will be arraigned on Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the Los Angeles International Airport Superior Court.

According to the DA’s office, who received the case at the end of last week from the Los Angeles Police Department, who had been investigating the incident, Lohan allegedly “walked out of the store with the necklace” on January 22.

“The owner reported the theft to the Los Angeles Police Department, which investigated the allegation and presented evidence to the D.A.’s office last week,” the DA’s office continued in a statement.

Lohan is currently on probation related to a 2007 misdemeanor driving under the influence case. She completed rehab last month and has a probation hearing in Beverly Hills on February 23.
