Lindsay Lohan’s The Canyons Heading To The Theaters This Summer

After being rejected by numerous film festivals, “The Canyons,” with Lindsay Lohan and adult film star James Deen, will hit theaters this summer.

IFC Films has acquired the Paul Schrader-directed movie, which will also be released on digital and on-demand platforms.

“I am delighted our film has found an enthusiastic home at IFC. We envisioned ‘The Canyons’ as a multi-platform release from the beginning and no company knows that world better than IFC,” the director said in a statement.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, despite rumors of Lindsay being a difficult to work with, her porn star co-star praised the headline-making actress.

“Working with her was awesome,” James said of Lindsay in August 2012. “She’s super professional. Super great. She’s a fantastic actress … I feel like I learned a lot from her.”

He said at the time that working with the “Liz & Dick” star brought out “the best” in his acting abilities.
