Lisa Ling revealed this week that she and husband Paul Song and are expecting a baby girl – and the journalist said, so far, her pregnancy has been a breeze!
“I’ve been so lucky – I have felt completely normal this entire time. Other than the fact that I feel like I’m getting this big gut, I didn’t have any morning sickness or anything,” Lisa, who is five months along, told Kit Hoover and Billy Bush on Access Hollywood Live in New York City on Friday. “So, I’ve been very, very lucky. I’ve just been trying to be very, very cautious about everything… with diet, with exercise.
The 39-year-old mom-to-be, who suffered a miscarriage in 2010, is still exercising during her pregnancy, but has drastically toned down the exertion level when it comes to working out.
“I used to do extremely rigorous Bikram yoga in 110 degrees and I would go on these long jogs. So, I’m trying to temper it a little bit,” she said. “I’m now just doing stairs up and down, which is great to do at hotels.”
In addition to preparing for her impending arrival, Lisa is filming new episodes for the fourth season of her show “Our America” (on the Oprah Winfrey Network) – a few of which tackle typically-taboo subjects.
“We explore a plethora of alternative relationships that are becoming increasingly more pervasive around the country. In the same way that swingers, married couples, would go have sex with other people, we’re exploring the idea of having multiple relationships where everyone is consensual and everyone is just loving on each other,” she said. “I found it to be fascinating.”
Lisa said she’s dragged her husband to many a strange event due to her work on “Our America.”
“Poor Paul, I’m like, ‘You have to come to this swinger party with me.’ He’s like looking at me like, ‘YESSS!’” she said, with a laugh.
