Liz Hernandez Joins Access Hollywood As New Correspondent

Access Hollywood is welcoming a new member to the family — former MY FM and Power 106 FM radio co-host Liz Hernandez.

Hernandez will contribute to AccessHollywood.com and will cover red carpet events, junkets and report on all breaking Hollywood news, alongside the Access Hollywood team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Liz to the Access Hollywood family. Liz is smart, funny, full of energy and, of course, pop culture savvy,” says Executive Producer Rob Silverstein. “With her strong background in radio and Access Hollywood’s emphasis on music, Liz is a perfect fit as we continue to grow in our 18th season.”

“I am so excited to be joining what has always been my favorite entertainment news magazine. I’m always searching for a new way to make my mark and that’s what I intend to do here at Access,” Liz said.

Born and raised in Southern California, Hernandez served as the long-time radio co-host of the #1 rated and nationally syndicated morning show, “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” on Los Angeles’ influential Power 106 FM. It was there that she was called “The Queen of Entertainment News” for her daily “This Just Handed to Me” segment.

In 2007, she began working as a correspondent for MTV News, which only further solidified her passion for entertainment reporting.

Liz has appeared as herself in numerous television shows, including HBO’s “Entourage.” She has been recognized by the National Hispanic Media Coalition for excellence in radio broadcasting and has worked for E! News as a correspondent and as host of E! News Now in 2011.
