Lupita Nyong’o Oscar weekend got off to an amazing start!
In addition to taking home the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress on Saturday, the 31-year-old celebrated her birthday with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
The actress, who is favored to win the Oscar tonight, partied with Brad Pitt and his fiancee Angelina Jolie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, and her “12 Years a Slave” director Steve McQueen, E! reported.
“Birthday surprise from the #12YearsASlave family. Feeling the love. #Oscars,” the actress wrote in the caption of a photo on Instagram of herself blowing out birthday candles.
According to an E! source, “Angie looked gorgeous per usual. She and Brad were adorable and talked to everyone!”

Brad (who is a producer on “12 Years a Slave”) and Angelina “stayed for a nice amount of time,” but were the first to leave the birthday bash, the source said.
