‘Mad Men’s’ January Jones Didn’t Worry About Fashion Police When Picking Emmy Dress

“Mad Men” star January Jones turned heads with her blue Versace gown on the Emmy red carpet on Sunday, and the actress told Access Hollywood that was exactly what she wanted.

“OK January, I have got to tell you sister, you are a stand out on this carpet tonight,” Access’ Shaun Robinson told the actress.

“Thank you, that was the idea,” January said. “Good or bad, fashion police, I’m wearing it!”

“Do you worry about the fashion police at all?” Shaun asked.

“No, I don’t,” she continued. “It’s like a piece of art, and there’s few times a year when we get to go all out and I take advantage of that.”

The “Mad Men” star joked that her “piece of art” also doubled as an extra guest.

“I’m gonna need another seat next to me,” she said with a laugh. “It’s worth it.”

The 32-year-old actress, who attended Sunday’s show with new boyfriend and “Saturday Night Live” star Jason Sudeikis, was also hiding two stunners behind her ears.

Shaun pulled back January’s hair to reveal a pair of spectacular diamond earrings.

The actress also told Access’ Guest Correspondent Nate Berkus that her dress had a familiar NBC feel to it.

“It’s a definite look,” she told Nate. “I feel like a peacock or something.”

January might have loved her Versace gown, but the AH Nation disagreed with the actress. Sound off and vote on what star was the worst-dressed at the Emmys, HERE!
