“Brothers & Sisters” alum Patricia Wettig is heading behind the bench on TNT’s “Major Crimes.”
The actress will guest star in the drama’s mid-season finale this August on the cable network.
Patricia will play Superior Court Judge Virginia Ryan, a woman with a nickname for her tough-as-nails courtroom approach — “Fry-‘Em Ryan,” per a character description.
In the episode, her past decision to refuse a deal for two Aryan bikers facing a third strike has murderous consequences, and she’ll need the help of Major Crimes.
The team will have to work through her case load to try and solve the crime.

The episode, titiled “Fifth Dynasty,” was written by Kendall Sherwood and directed by Michael M. Robin.
It also guest stars Malcom-Jamal Warner, Ransford Doherty, Rene Rosado, Sonya Leslie, Nick Clifford, Mark Derwin and Aidan Blain.
“Major Crimes” airs Mondays at 9/8c on TNT. Patricia’s episode airs August 10.
