Angelina Jolie takes to the skies in the new trailer from “Maleficent”!
“Well, well… I shall bestow a gift on the child,” the actress says before placing a curse on the infant Princess Aurora. “Before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she will fall into a sleep like death.”
Later in the action-packed trailer — with the tag line “You know the tale… Now find out the truth” — an older Aurora (played by Elle Fanning) asks Maleficent, “All the other fairies fly, why don’t you?”

“I had wings once, they were strong,” the villainess says. “But they were stolen from me. There is evil in this world. Hatred and revenge.”
“Is it true? Are you Maleficent?” Aurora asks.
“Maleficent” debuts in theaters on May 30, 2014.
