Manager: Leaked Audio Recording Claiming Beating Is ‘100 Percent’ Not Britney Spears

Britney Spears’ manager has told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that a recording, posted on Radar Online, purportedly featuring the singer claiming abuse by her boyfriend, is “100 percent not her.”

On Wednesday morning, Radar posted a recording of a conversation which the website claims is between Spears and her ex-husband, Jason Alexander. In the recording, a woman can be heard claiming that a man with whom she is involved in a relationship “beat on me.”

However, Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager, strongly denied to Bush that the recording is the pop star, adding that they plan to take swift legal action.

“Lawyers are amassing,” Rudolph told Bush. “We are 100 percent taking stern and immediate legal action.”

Rudolph added they were preparing a statement for release over the Radar recording and Star Magazine’s new cover story, which features Spears on the cover under the headline “Jason Beat Me Up.” Jason Trawick is the agent who has been linked to the pop star romantically for some time. Star and Radar Online are owned by the same media company, American Media, Inc.

When contacted by Access Hollywood about the recording, David Perel, Executive Vice President of Radar Online, claimed it was “100 percent verified.” Also when contacted by Access, a rep for Star responded that, “Star stands by its story.”

In the audio recording, the person Radar claims is Alexander says to the woman on the phone that his mother had previously told him that the woman and her boyfriend were engaged after her boyfriend proposed on the beach. The woman responds that she was proposed to, but says she is no longer speaking to the man.

“He does still work for me,” the woman can be heard claiming on the recording.

The woman adds that her father, whom she claims owns a gun, is angry with the man.

“My dad does not want him around me right now. My dad has a shotgun and he’s just waiting to use it,” the woman says in the recording.
