Marc Anthony Becomes Part Owner Of Miami Dolphins

Marc Anthony is already a sensation on the stage – and now the singer is looking to make a splash as a part owner of the Miami Dolphins.

Marc joins Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio, as part owner of Miami’s iconic NFL franchise, People reported.

“I’m a huge sports fan,” Marc told People. “These opportunities don’t come around too often. It’s quite an honor and a privilege to be able to sit here today saying that I’m a part owner of an NFL team.”

Marc did not disclose the financial terms of his deal with Stephen Ross, the real estate mogul who owns a 95-percent stake in the Dolphins, but said there might have been a more economical way to get good seats to the games.

“It would have probably been cheaper just to buy season tickets,” Marc joked.

Marc said after talking with Stephen he was swept away with the idea of becoming part of the Dolphins organization.

“We spoke for quite a while about his vision for the team and, like I said, it was just intoxicating,” Marc said of Stephen. “It was just a win-win for everybody involved.”

Including a win for wife Jennifer Lopez, who is fond of the area that Marc says they’ll now be spending a great deal of time in.

“Jennifer loves Miami,” he told the mag. “So she’s really, really happy about this because we’re going to be spending a lot of time down there.”
