Maroon 5 To Perform At Super Bowl 50 Halftime?

Are Adam Levine and Maroon 5 about to bring a little
“Sugar” to the Super Bowl stage?

The pop band has had “extensive talks” about
performing during halftime of Super Bowl 50, according to E! News.

With the spectacle of the 50th Super Bowl at hand,
one would imagine if Maroon 5 were to take the stage, they wouldn’t be alone.
Perhaps some of Adam’s “Voice” coaches would join the fun? Maybe they
would be paired with an iconic rock act (think Britney Spears, *NSYNC and
Aerosmith in 2001)?

The NFL has yet to respond to Access Hollywood’s request for
comment on the Maroon 5 report.

In September, Billboard reported that Bruno Mars may be set
for a Super Bowl return in the upcoming game, after first taking the Super Bowl
halftime stage in 2014.

At the time, Bruno’s performance at Super Bowl XLVIII –
where the Red Hot Chili Peppers joined him on stage – marked the most-watched
halftime performance of all-time (115 million viewers). Katy Perry’s
performance a year later at Super Bowl XLIX topped the mark, with 121 million
viewers.

Super Bowl 50 will take place at Levi’s Stadium
in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
