Maroon 5 ‘Thanks’ Taraji P. Henson After Mistaken Super Bowl Shout-Out

Maroon 5 are
good sports when it comes to cases of mistaken identity.

On Monday,
the band issued a cute response to Taraji P. Henson’s now-deleted shout-out from Super Bowl 50
in which she confused them with halftime performers Coldplay.

“YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!!! #maroon5 is life to
me!!! #superbowl50 #HappyCamper I am,” she wrote on Instagram during Sunday’s big game, captioning a shot of the concert
stage.

The “Empire”
star acknowledged her error within minutes, after corrections came flooding in
from one user after another.

“Oooooooopppps. Lmao! #Superbowl50,” she Tweeted.

Maroon 5 didn’t seem to mind, however, and poked good-natured
fun at the fumble.

“Thanks for loving our performance from our seats at
#SB50 @TherealTaraji,” the band wrote on Twitter. “We think we
sounded pretty good!”

Frontman
Adam Levine also chimed in on Taraji’s innocent mix-up, sharing a screenshot of
her original post on his own Instagram page.

The actress
is apparently still chuckling over the incident, Tweeting a series of blushing,
laughing and kissing emojis in response to the band’s playful joke.
