Matthew McConaughey Not Returning For ‘Magic Mike’ Sequel

“Magic Mike’s” Dallas appears to have danced his last dance!

“Magic Mike XXL” director Greg Jacobs confirmed to Indiewire that Matthew McConaughey will not return for the male stripper movie sequel.

The only stars known to be returning from the first film are Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello.

Jacobs described the film as “very different” from the first.

“It’s road trip movie and put it this way, it’s different enough that once you see it you’ll understand why we made a sequel. No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice,” he said of the sequel.

Back in February, asked Matthew about respiring his role as Dallas, and the actor played it coy.

“Oh, we’ll see,” he told Access at the time. “I could happen. I don’t know though.”
