Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Killoren Bensimon and Cindy Barshop meet your replacements!
On Wednesday night at Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live All-Star Party” in New York, Andy Cohen introduced the network’s three new “Housewives.” Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson will be joining LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan on Season 5 of “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
Aviva is the first and only New York City-born and bred “Housewife” in the history of the Bravo series. The mother of four and devoted wife was in was in a tragic farm accident when she was 6, which resulted in the amputation of her left leg. This law school graduate, who lives on the Upper East Side spends a great deal of time giving back to the community through numerous philanthropic projects and charities.
Carole is a best-selling author and journalist, who previously worked for ABC News. Her first book, “What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love,” spent 12 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List. She is currently writing another novel, “Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating,” while living the West Village with her dog, Margaret.
Heather, the creator of a popular shapewear line, previously worked as a stylist to Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Diddy. The married mother of two also previously worked at Diddy’s Sean John fashion line. Like all the “Housewives,” Heather also devotes a great deal of time to various charities
Bravo also gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming season, which includes gems like Sonja putting her face in a bidet, trips to London and the Caribbean (that of course are filled with drama and naked hijinks – will there ever be a season without a naked Sonja?), and LuAnn telling boyfriend Jacques, “There’s nothing that would make me happier than having a baby together.” (We’re pretty sure somewhere Jill Zarin’s mouth is agape in disbelief!)
The best claws-bared catfight appears to be between Ramona and LuAnn, when the Countess accuses Ramona of “blackmailing” her and then rips into her with, “What other dirty trick do you have to pull out of your Pinot-filled a**?!” MEOW!
