Megan Fox Explains Crush On ‘TMNT’s’ Michaelangelo: He’s Easygoing & Funny

Megan Fox recently revealed that her first childhood crush was on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’” Michaelangelo.

So what drew the actress (who’s starring as April O’Neil in the upcoming live action “TMNT” film) to the animated turtle?

“He was my first crush, Michaelangelo,” Megan told Access Hollywood in a new interview. “He just represents what I like, I guess, in people. He was the easygoing, like, bohemian surfer guy.”

The 27-year-old beauty said Michaelangelo also possessed one of her favorite qualities in a man – a good sense of humor.

“He was funny, he was a comic relief,” she said. “You could always count on Mikey to make you smile no matter what villains they were fighting and what they were up against and I need that in life.”

In addition to her Michaelangelo crush, Megan – who gave birth to her second son, Bodi, in February –wanted to star in “TMNT” for two reasons: she was a huge fan of the original cartoon, and she thinks the role will eventually impress her two boys.

“I wanted to do this movie because I was a fan as a kid, obviously, but also I wanted to do it because I think I anticipate that my sons will be like, ‘My mom is April O’Neil!’” she said. “I’m sure that won’t happen, because no matter what I do for work, I’m still always just their mom and I’m never gonna be cool.

“But I hope that like, maybe when they’re 25, they’ll look back and be like, ‘That was pretty rad,’ because you know, if my dad had been in ‘Point Break,’ I would be like, ‘That’s amazing!’”

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” hits theaters on August 8.
