Mel B Finally Speaks Out & Denies Domestic Abuse Rumors

All is fine and well on the homefront for Mel B. She took to social media to address rumors that her husband Stephen Belafonte had abused her.

“For the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans,” she wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

Rumors of domestic abuse spread like wildfire after the former Spice Girl was taken to the hospital on December 11, causing her to miss an episode of “The X Factor” two days later. When she returned to the judging panel on December 15 for the show’s finale, she reportedly appeared bruised.

Further fueling the fire, Mel arrived three hours late for a scheduled interview with Grazia due to a spat with her hubby.

“I walked in pissed off because I had a big row with my husband about stupid stuff,” she told magazine in an article published December 15. “Sometimes he pisses me off like no other, but he gets me.”

However, on Christmas Day the family was all smiles as they celebrated the holiday together.

“Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday,” Mel Instagrammed on December 25 with her husband and three daughters.
