Mel Gibson Turns Himself In To Police For Booking

Mel Gibson was booked and released at El Segundo Police Department on Wednesday night as part of his sentence for the misdemeanor battery case resulting from a January 2010 incident with his then-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to the actor’s booking sheet, he surrendered at 9:30 PM. His bail was set at $20,000. The booking sheet lists his age as 55, height as 5’10 ‘’, and weight at 190 pounds.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Gibson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor battery on a spouse or cohabitant last week. As a result of his plea, the actor was sentenced to 52 weeks of counseling in a domestic violence program.

The judge also ordered Gibson to perform 16 hours of community service and was placed on criminal probation for 36 months. He will continue in a mental health-counseling program, with his undisclosed doctor.
