Melissa Etheridge is moving on from her bitter split from ex Tammy Lynn Michaels and has a new woman in her life, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
According to People, which first reported the news, the rocker is dating “Nurse Jackie” creator Linda Wallem, who was Melissa’s “best man” at her 2003 wedding to Tammy Lynn.
“Melissa and Linda have been best friends for over 10 years,” a friend of the “Come To My Window” singer told the mag. “They got together three months after Melissa and Tammy broke up.”
The friend claimed Melissa and Linda “are in a committed relationship. They’re happy,”
The new reported couple, who share the same birthday, both turn 50 in May.
The friend also told the mag that tensions between Melissa and Tammy Lynn have subsided as they work out finances and custody arrangements of their 4-year-old twins, Johnnie Rose and Miller.
“Everybody really is in a better place now,” the friend added.
Melissa and Tammy Lynn announced their split in April 2010.
