Melissa Rycroft Weds In Mexico

Melissa Rycroft is a bachelorette no longer, according to In Touch Weekly.

The scorned former “Bachelor” star – who was famously dumped on national television by Jason Mesnick in favor of Molly Malaney – has reportedly tied the knot with insurance agent Tye Strickland.

“Tye is my best friend in the world, and now he’s my partner forever,” Melissa told the mag. “We have had such a journey within our relationship, that to finally look at him and see my husband, gives me the calmest, most content feeling in the world. I love him so much and am so excited for our forever to begin!”

And Jason, currently engaged to Molly, had some well wishes for his former ladylove, telling People on Saturday he “couldn’t be happier for her” in advance of the ceremony.

“This whole journey took her to a place where things looked like they were down for her. But then she ended up with the person she was mean to be with,” he said. “That’s what life’s all about.”

Melissa, who went on to compete on “Dancing With the Stars” after “The Bachelor,” previously told People that she’d rekindled her romance with Tye after breaking up prior to her reality venture.

“Tye and I picked right back up,” she said at the time. “He’s my best friend.”
