Melissa Etheridge says her split with partner Tammy was “mutual,” but the former “Popular” actress hinted on her blog that the events of the breakup have been spun.
“This will be the only place, where you will get the truth,” Tammy wrote on her blog Hollywood Farm Girl, on Friday, the same day Melissa appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
The 48-year-old singer told Oprah the separation was “as mutual as those things can be.” Melissa also said that the 35-year-old actress was “a wonderful woman and an incredible mother,” and added, “she’ll always be in my life.”
Tammy added in her blog post, “No spin, no drift, i hope to clarify sometimes, that’s all.”
There was no further clarification yet beyond these words from Tammy Lynn.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the couple ended their relationship after almost nine years on April 15. Tammy gave birth to the couple’s twins, on Miller Steven and daughter Johnnie Rose, in 2006.
