Now that the confetti has stopped falling and the spray tans have started to fade a bit, the big question on many “Dancing with the Stars” fans’ minds is whether Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy made a love connection during Season 18.
The latest mirrorball winners stooped by Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, where Billy Bush and Kit Hoover asked the burning question — “are you dating?”
“You guys are going with any tactic to make this happen,” Meryl said with a laugh.

“We clicked right away. She’s so down to earth, there no shred of her that’s, ‘I’m an Olympic winner,’ or that, ‘I’m a big deal,’” Maks said of his chemistry with his partner. “I got a real person.”
“He is amazing person,” Meryl added, neither confirming nor denying the rumors of a romance.
Maks was quick to squash the idea that they amped up the chemistry to sway the audience in their favor.

“We want everyone to know that there was nothing done to facilitate the votes. Everything was real and authentic,” he said. “What people saw, we felt.”
So where does their friendship/connection/dare-we-call-it-a-relationship go next?
“Where we go from here is off camera,” Maks added.
