Michael B. Jordan Talks Fantastic Four Human Torch Rumors & Fruitvale Station

Michael B. Jordan might be best known for his roles on “Friday Night Lights” and “Chronicle,” but with accolades for his performance in “Fruitvale Station” and rumors of joining the Marvel Universe as the Human Torch – the actor is on fire!

The 26-year-old stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, where he coyly spoke about online speculation of reuniting with “Chronicle” director Josh Trank in the upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

“I’ve been hearing about that too,” he told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover with a smile.

Michael stopped short of confirming that he’s play the role, originally played by “Captain America” star Chris Evans in two movies.

“I can’t talk about it too much, but it’s a… I’m definitely a comic book fan,” he continued. “I’m a comic book fan. The Human Torch is like… it’s a cool role.”

As for his latest, “Fruitvale Station,” the true story about 22-year-old Oscar Grant, who was killed in 2009 at a BART station Oakland, Calif., the actor said the film’s parallels to Trayvon Martin are “eerie.”

“It shows that it’s very important, it’s a very timely movie right now,” he said of the film that took home the top honors at the Sundance Film Festival.

”[I hope the movie helps us]to start thinking more, how we value life, how we treat people that we deem different,” he added.”

“Fruitvale Station” is in theaters now.
