Michael Buble: Reese Witherspoon Knew My Baby News Before ‘My Own Family’

That Reese Witherspoon sure can keep a secret!

Michael Buble has revealed that his giddiness over learning his wife, Luisana Lopilato, was pregnant got the best of him during a phone call to Reese – prompting him to blurt out the news to the Oscar-winner before he shared it with his family.

“I had just found out [we were expecting]. It was the greatest day of my life, so I just said, ‘You know, I’m having a baby!’” Michael told Parade, of spilling the baby beans on a phone call with Reese to discuss their upcoming duet on his new album, “To Be Loved.”

The “Water for Elephants” beauty has three children of her of own and was thrilled for Michael’s happy news.

“Reese was so sweet about it and excited for me. It was nice for us to bond that way,” he said. “I told her before anyone else in the world knew — even members of my own family!”

As a first-time father-to-be, the Canadian crooner said he’s striving to be as supportive as possible for his pregnant wife.

“Obviously she’s doing all the work — she’s carrying the kid,” he said. “My job, I found out, is just to tell her that those aches and pains are normal [and] that she looks awesome.”

Adding, “It’s my job to just be strong for her like she’s strong for me all the other times.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Thursday, Michael revealed he and Luisana are expecting a baby boy.

We have just come from the hospital, and the sonogram was pretty clear, it’s a boy!” the 37-year-old singer told New York Post’s Page Six. “We are thrilled.”

The couple’s son is due in August.
