Michael Lohan Charged Over Domestic Violence Allegations From Ex-Fiancee Kate Major

Michael Lohan has officially been charged with one misdemeanor count of corporal injury to a cohabitant, following new accusations from his ex-finacee, Kate Major.

On Monday, Lindsay’s dad was arrested after Major claimed he had held her against her will on March 21.

“[Michael] Lohan is accused of physically assaulting his live-in girlfriend after the two argued on March 21. The victim sustained minor injuries,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told Access Hollywood in a statement issued on Wednesday.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on May 23 in Beverly Hills Superior Court.

“If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a maximum sentence of one year in county jail,” the DA’s office added.

On Wednesday, Michael posted a message on his Twitter page calling Major a “liar.”

“Ktae [sic] Major [sic] is a Mjor liar and the world wil [sic] know it. She is going to be held legally accountable for all the lies and pain she cause so many,” he wrote.

On Tuesday, following being booked, Michael was taken to a hospital for a medical condition unrelated to the arrest, according to the Associated Press.

This marks the second time Kate has caused charges to be brought against her ex-fiance.

In July 2010, she claimed he kicked and threatened to kill her after arguing over a missed phone call, according to the Associated Press.

Michael and his attorney at the time denied the charges, which were eventually dropped.
