A grief-stricken Michelle Williams returned home Wednesday night, following the death of her former fiance, Heath Ledger.
Williams was in Sweden shooting a film when Ledger died on Tuesday. Upon news of the tragedy, Michelle quickly returned stateside with their two-year-old daughter, Matilda.
As she arrived in a black SUV at her Brooklyn home, Michelle found her home swarmed with photographers and camera crews. The NYPD and a private security shielded Michelle and a smiling Matilda from the media, as she entered the house through the garage.
Earlier in the day, Michelle’s mom was seen arriving at the Brooklyn apartment.
Details on funeral plans for Heath have not been announced yet.
Michelle and Heath began dating in 2005, after meeting on the set of “Brokeback Mountain.” Daughter Matilda Rose was born in October 2005.
The couple announced their split in September 2007.
