Miley Cyrus: Dolly Parton Is My Role Model

Dolly Parton’s love for goddaughter Miley Cyrus is reciprocated – in fact, Miley says she aims to live like her legendary godmother.

“Dolly Parton has always been my role model,” the “We Can’t Stop” singer, 20, revealed during an interview on Germany’s “Wetten… Dass?” show on Saturday.

Beyond Dolly’s decades of career success and country superstar status, Miley said what she really hopes to emulate is her godmother’s kindness and down to earth spirit.

“She’s a legend, but the way she treats people is unlike anyone I’ve ever seen – famous or not,” Miley – who performed “Wrecking Ball” in a strawberry-themed costume on the show – explained of why she hopes to be like Dolly. “So that’s really what’s important.”

And the feelings are mutual. In an exclusive sitdown with Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle in Nashville last month, Dolly said Miley is “the cutest thing that ever was!”

“I admire her, I respect her, she’s smart, and she’s so talented,” Dolly said.
