Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Step Out For ‘Last Song’ Premiere Together, Talk Finding Love

Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth showed off their real-life romance as they hit the red carpet together on Thursday night for the Los Angeles premiere of their new film, “The Last Song.”

The Disney teen and her Australian beau looked picture perfect – Miley in a form fitting black one-shouldered dress, and Liam in a grey suit with a black shirt and tie — and they were warm and sweet as they tackled questions about finding love on the set of the film.

“We got thrown into it [on] the first day,” Liam told Access Hollywood of their early on-set bonding. “It was the first time we kissed.”

“We didn’t know it was a kissing scene. Well, I knew it was a kissing scene, but they didn’t tell Liam,” Miley giggled.

“Oh, you knew?” Liam asked, looking at his girlfriend.

“I knew and as soon as they started yelling, ‘Kiss her, kiss her,’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know what [they’re] talking about. I guess you’re going to have to kiss me,’” Miley laughed. “It was a good first day at work.”

Liam revealed that his first impression of the young starlet was that she was simply wonderful.

“She’s great. She’s got a big heart, extremely welcoming,” he said.

Miley previously confirmed that the two have been dating for 10 months and last night they both confirmed they have even met each other’s parents.

“I was a little nervous ‘cause I’m very out of my element and… I was like, ‘Liam, maybe I’ll get a car, just in case,’” Miley recounted of the hours before she met the Hemworth parents in Australia. “He’s like, ‘Well, [we] drive on the opposite side of the road here so that’s not going to happen.’ So I got a little bit of anxiety that like, if I needed to go somewhere or go home or whatever I was just like, in one place, but I felt really comfortable. I was just a little bit nervous… I’m not away from my family that often – especially that far away.”

Liam actually met Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, who executive produced “The Last Song,” before he started dating her daughter.

“She was my boss,” Liam laughed.

“I guess that’s how you get a boyfriend these days,” Miley joked.

In fact, Tish had a hand in picking Liam to star opposite her daughter.

“I read with a few people, but my mom was the ultimate choice maker. I didn’t really put my opinion in ‘cause this is my mom’s first big film,” Miley explained. “So I really [wanted] it to be all about her.”

While Miley is involved in what she’s called her first real romance, she also revealed she is gearing up for some big changes in her life, namely moving out of the Cyrus family home when she’s 18.

“I’m pretty independent anyways, so I don’t really feel like it’s that big of a deal,” Miley said. “I’m really close with my family, so I’m not like, jumping for joy to get away from them. I love my family.”
